Tamcon Contracting Company is a subsidiary of Al Khaleej Development Company (Tameer), a leading real estate development group, operating in accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia. Tameer’s core business activities embrace real estate investment, project management, property management, related advisory services, and contracting. Headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Tameer is an established player in the MENA region, with a growing international presence.

Until the end of 2008, Tameer was a publicly listed company on both the Bahrain and Kuwait Stock Exchanges, with a capital of US$ 97.37 million, and assets and projects under management exceeding US$ 5 billion. This compares with a capital of US$ 16 million at the time of its inception in June 2002, and with assets and projects under management of US$ 20 million at the end of 2002.

Following the strategic decision to expand the Company’s activities and diversify revenue streams through new business and investment opportunities, Tameer was transformed into Inovest, a full-fledged investment company cross listed on the Bahrain and Kuwait Stock Exchanges. Consequently, Tameer was reintroduced as a closed shareholding company, and became a wholly-owned dedicated real estate subsidiary of Inovest.

Tameer’s signature projects include the US$ 2 billion Bahrain Investment Wharf (BIW), the US$ 2 billion Durrat Marina, the US$ 40 million Adhari Park, and the US$ 120 million Tala Island gated community, all of which are located in Bahrain; and the US$ 660 million Dannat Resort on the Half Moon Bay coastline of Saudi Arabia.
